This training teaches the manual testing methodology required for thorough WCAG compliance audits. You will learn how to systematically evaluate websites against success criteria, document violations with reproducible test cases, and prioritize remediation work based on user impact. The curriculum reflects real audit workflows used by accessibility consultants.

We work through complete audit processes on sample websites containing intentional accessibility failures.

You will practice identifying issues that automated tools miss: incorrect heading hierarchy, non-descriptive link text, keyboard traps in custom widgets, and insufficient error identification in forms. The training covers both Level A and AA success criteria, with guidance on when Level AAA makes sense for specific content types.

Documentation skills receive significant attention because poorly written audit reports create confusion during remediation. You will learn to write clear issue descriptions that developers can act on, including code examples and suggested fixes. Each participant completes a practice audit and receives feedback on their reporting.

The training includes sessions on testing with assistive technology, understanding how different disabilities affect web interaction, and communicating accessibility requirements to stakeholders who may not understand technical details.
